Chiral Biobased Ionic Liquids with Cations or Anions including Bile Acid Building Blocks as Chiral Selectors in Voltammetry

چکیده

Chiral ionic liquids (CILs), or (ILs) with chiral additives, are very attractive media for enantioselective electroanalysis, on account of their high structural order at the electrochemical interphase. A family molecular salts CIL properties is now introduced, based steroid building block deoxycholic acid implemented either in anion cation. Testing them as additives a commercial achiral IL, they enable voltammetric discrimination enantiomers model probe disposable screen-printed electrodes terms peak potential differences, which most desirable transduction mode enantiorecognition event. The enantiomer sequence same all selectors, consistent sharing configuration. This proof-of-concept widens application fields bile derivatives while also enriching still few families so far explored applications electroanalysis.

Coordinating chiral ionic liquids.

A practical synthesis of novel coordinating chiral ionic liquids with an amino alcohol structural motif was developed starting from commercially available amino alcohols. These basic chiral ionic liquids could be successfully applied as catalysts in the asymmetric alkylation of aldehydes and gave high enantioselectivities of up to 91% ee.

Chiral Perylene Diimides: Building Blocks for Ionic Self‐Assembly

A chiral perylene diimide building block has been prepared based on an amine derivative of the amino acid L-phenylalanine. Detailed studies were carried out into the self-assembly behaviour of the material in solution and the solid state using UV/Vis, circular dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectroscopy. For the charged building block BTPPP, the molecular chirality of the side chains is transl...

Chiral ionic liquids as stationary phases in gas chromatography.

Recently, it has been found that room-temperature ionic liquids can be used as stable, unusual selectivity stationary phases. They show "dual nature" properties, in that they separate nonpolar compounds as if they are nonpolar stationary phases and separate polar compounds as if they are polar stationary phases. Extending ionic liquids to the realm of chiral separations can be done in two ways:...

Mutual Lewis Acid–Base Interactions of Cations and Anions in Ionic Liquids

Solute properties are known to be strongly influenced by solvent molecules due to solvation. This is due to mutual interaction as both the properties of the solute and of the solvent strongly depend on each other. The present paper is based on the idea that ionic liquids are cations solvated by anions and anions solvated by cations. To show this (in this system strongly pronounced) interaction ...

Monoliths with proteins as chiral selectors for enantiomer separation.

Recent advances in monolithic systems, especially the development of functionalized monoliths, make it more tentative for separation science, such as enantiomer separation. Proteins, as one category of well-acknowledged chiral selectors, have won a reputation of separating a wide range of enantiomeric mixtures due to varieties of functional groups at their surface. However, the combination of p...
